About this programme
The Data Analysis Professional Program is a 6-month live online course from ALA Academy, followed by a 6-month remote internship with ALA Core on authorized real projects. You will learn to frame business questions, clean and model data, apply statistics correctly, and deliver clear dashboards and insights using Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python.
Course Structure
- Duration: 6 months / 24 weeks
- Sessions: 72 live online sessions (3 per week, 2 hours each)
- Total hours: 144 contact hours
- Months 1-5: 60 technical sessions
- Month 6: 12 career-readiness sessions (CV, LinkedIn, portfolio, interviews, graduation presentation)
- Internship: 26 weeks, fully remote, with ALA Core
What You Will Learn
- Business questions, KPIs, and the data analysis lifecycle
- Excel: formulas, lookups, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, and dashboards
- Power Query: repeatable data cleaning and transformation
- SQL: joins, aggregation, CTEs, and window functions
- Statistics: distributions, sampling, hypothesis testing, and experiment analysis
- Power BI: star schema modeling, DAX measures, interactive and accessible reports
- Python: pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, seaborn, and reproducible notebooks
- Funnel, cohort, and customer analysis
- Sales, marketing, operations, and finance analytics
- Time-series analysis and forecasting baselines
- Data governance, privacy, and responsible analytics
Projects and Assessment
- Foundation mini project: Excel and Power Query
- Project 1: SQL and statistics analysis report
- Project 2: Power BI analytical dashboard
- Project 3: Python analytical case
- An integrated capstone project (25% of the grade)
- Career package and graduation presentation before an ALA Academy and ALA Core panel
- The capstone pass mark is 70/100
Career Month
Build a one-page data analyst CV, a LinkedIn profile, and a portfolio with at least two case studies. Complete a technical mock interview and present your graduation project.
Real-World Internship
Work remotely with real ALA Core developers and cross-functional teams on authorized internal or client projects with real data, tickets, and reviews. You get supervised, least-privilege access only and do not publish to production independently.
