Description

The Full-Stack Web Development Program is a 6-month course from ALA Academy, followed by a 6-month embedded internship with ALA Core on real web projects. You will learn to build, secure, test, and deploy complete web applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL.

Course Structure

- Duration: 6 months / 24 weeks

- Sessions: 72 instructor-led sessions (3 per week, 2 hours each)

- Total hours: 144 instructional hours

- Months 1-5: 60 full-stack engineering sessions

- Month 6: 12 career-readiness sessions (CV, LinkedIn, GitHub portfolio, interviews, graduation presentation)

- Internship: 26 weeks with ALA Core

- Entry level: beginner, with no professional web experience required

What You Will Learn

- Web foundations: HTTP, browser-server-database architecture, Git, and GitHub workflow

- Semantic HTML, accessible forms, and CSS

- Responsive layouts with Flexbox and Grid, and web accessibility

- JavaScript fundamentals, the DOM, async programming, and the Fetch API

- TypeScript: types, generics, and tooling

- React: components, state, effects, routing, and data fetching

- Node.js and Express: routing, middleware, and modular structure

- REST API design, validation, error handling, and documentation

- PostgreSQL and SQL: data modeling, joins, constraints, indexes, and transactions

- Prisma ORM: schema, migrations, and relations

- Authentication, authorization, and web security (OWASP Top 10)

- Testing: unit, API integration, and React component tests

- Frontend and backend performance

- Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, deployment, and operations

Projects and Assessment

- Project 1: Responsive and accessible React frontend

- Project 2: Tested REST API with PostgreSQL

- Project 3: Secure integrated full-stack application

- An integrated capstone project (25% of the grade)

- Career package and graduation presentation before an ALA Core panel

Career Month

Build a technical CV, a LinkedIn profile, and a GitHub portfolio with READMEs, architecture notes, and demos. Complete a full-stack mock interview and present your graduation project.

Real-World Internship

Work in real ALA Core internal or client web projects under an assigned mentor, using real repositories, tickets, pull requests, CI, and staging. You get least-privilege access and do not approve or deploy production changes independently.
